Either I'm really smart or really dumb but I did it...

I just spent the last two solid weeks helping a couple of newbies to fulfill their dreams. To start with, I had to completely design & set up their website from scratch. We're talking they had absolutely no idea what they were doing... only what they wanted, so I had to do it all. Since I am Spiritual by nature, it was a labor of love for my Father above, getting GloryRealm.com transformed from a dormant domain to completely set up and ready for business. And I did! :-)

Patty's first book has several surreal and thrilling sections besides the comforting ones throughout. (I've previewed the second book in the series, and WOW, it actually feels at times like the sci-fi movies... yet these things/events are really coming to our planet!) Unlike leaving a movie-house knowing what you saw wasn't real, this stuff IS real... including the coming of the AntiChrist. Scary stuff, but there is also great comfort if you are one of His Children.

Because this very different prophetic book was written to help people learn about God and His infinite love for humanity, as well as the coming times that Christians need to prepare for... I went forth with it, all the while, knowing that any paychecks were in the future, not in the present.

So, I had to ask myself several times - was it the right thing to do or have I lost my marbles? I chose the former and kept plugging away, in spite of carpal tunnel pain and several frustrations that finally got overcome.

I have to recommend this first book in the Glory Realm Productions series... Crystal Beyond The Curtain by Patricia Gamet because it is over 200 pages of prophesies straight from God through His scribe (or oracle, or whatever you want to call her) and onto paper and then into computer typed manuscripts.

They finally (thanks to my hard work) got their first ebook by the same name and so it can now be purchased at a lower price than the published softcover book (or given to you as a bonus WITH a purchased softcover version).

Oh, and if you might have been wondering, the author and publisher gave the manuscript to an ordained minister to have him read it and verify that the works agreed completely with the Scriptures and they did.

Anyway, I thought I'd give them a little post here to help get the word out about this new and exciting series of Christian books that really need to be read by every Christian on Earth before it's too late.

My poor blog got totally lost for nearly a year....

This blog was offline ever since they switched over to using gmail for logging in... and I didn't have time (ok, no desire if I must be totally honest) to hassle with support over the "why" of it all.

Anyway, it was very distressing for me, but I figured it out tonight by accident. The old URL didn't work because when they switched the blogs over, somehow this one got lost in the 'translation' and they renamed it with a number 8 after its name. So naturally when someone clicked on my multitudinous links to this blog... they got an error message... even though the blog existed in another world, it didn't exist with the original link (which is thankfully reinstated).

I had spent many hours on this blog and just felt so badly that I couldn't fix it. Well, tonight I fixed it, and it's *back* online... FWIW.

My arms are hurting so I can't type much here tonight, besides, I have to work on my copywriting job I'm doing so there's no time for blogging. I get paid for the former, but not for the latter. :-)

Well, anyone SERIOUS about succeeding on the internet with their own products, anyway. It's been the most successful way to create income over the history of the net, regardless of the few flukes we read about. The Net Neutrality Issue Is Worse Than I Thought!

This message came out June 8th from the CEO of Google, that's how darned important this issue really is to all of us. I hope you will TAKE ACTION!

There's a debate heating up in Washington, DC on something called "net neutrality" – and the outcome of this debate may very well impact your business. Therefore, we are taking the unprecedented steps of calling your attention to this looming crisis and asking you to get involved.

Sometime in the next few days, the House of Representatives is going to vote on a bill that would fundamentally alter the Internet. That bill would give the big phone and cable companies the power to choose what you will be able to see and do on the Internet.

Today the Internet is an information highway where anybody – no matter how large or small, how traditional or unconventional – has equal access to everyone else. On the Internet, a business doesn't need the network's permission to communicate with a customer or deploy an innovative new service.

But the phone and cable monopolies, who control almost all broadband Internet access, want the power to choose who gets onto the high-speed lanes and whose content gets seen first and fastest. They want to build tollbooths to block the on-ramps for those whom they don't want to compete with and who can't pay this new Internet tax. Money and monopoly, not ideas and independence, will be the currency of their Internet.

Under the proposed "pay-to-play" system, small- and medium-sized businesses will be placed at an automatic disadvantage to their larger competitors. Those who cannot afford the new Internet tax – or who want to compete directly with the phone and cable companies – will be marginalized by slower Internet access that will inevitably make their sites

HELP Save the Internet! Especially You Online Business Owners BEWARE!

I know, it's been awhile since I last posted... but this is URGENT, and if you depend at all on your online business to make a buck here or there (or especially if you are one of the fortunate ones whose livelihood IS dependent on the internet) you better 'wake up right now and smell the coffee' because there are some VERY greedy people lurking just outside your door! Huge telecom companies (can you spell AT&T?) are taking steps to make the internet no longer FREE for anybody. It's called the Net Neutrality Petition and your signature will make a difference!

Imagine having to pay to do *anything* online. Yes, these bloated, greedy GIANTS want even more of our money and if YOU don't do something, they just might get their way. It will be the END OF THE FREE INTERNET AS WE ALL KNOW IT TODAY! I know that I sure don't want that to happen. On a personal level, I'm busting my tail every day, suffering from R.S.I. (Repetitive Stress Injury) and a plethora of other body pain just to try and succeed in online marketing. If these big conglomerates take it over, I might as well be six feet under. What would it do to your little online business? Or your ability to communicate with friends and family? Or your favorite sites you like to visit? Or????

Heck, even the spammers will suffer - heaven forbid they might have to actually PAY to get all the poor unsuspecting victims they siphon money off of on a daily basis with their junk mail, and the only good thing in that arena would be the increase in bandwidth that they no longer could afford to exploit so freely... but that's not the point. The point is vividly illustrated in the links below, which I implore you to explore and then immediately go sign the Net Neutrality Petition!!

Here's what jlscott of I-Cop had to say in her newsletter (and this is a *very* wise and savvy woman whose opinions can be trusted implicitly):

“Like them, or not, moveon.org has the political clout to get the attention of the right people. Also, like them, or not, they have the ability to expose the Congress people who are lining their pockets with the telecoms' lobbyist money, thereby being a threat to them.”

This attempt to take over the Internet by the mega-telecoms is a threat to YOUR business! In situations such as this, the only smart thing to do is set aside your political persuasions, and help the organization who may be able to get it stopped.

Blind devotion to a political party simply doesn't make sense when your bread and butter is at stake! And, that's all I've got to say about that. Please take care of your business, and go sign the petition:

Do You Believe In Easter?

I received this today via email, and it is so beautiful, I wanted to share it with the world...

DO YOU BELIEVE IN EASTER?

Edith Burns was a wonderful Christian who lived in San Antonio, Texas. She was the patient of doctor by the name of Will Phillips. Dr. Phillips was a gentle doctor who saw patients as people.

His favorite patient was Edith Burns. One morning he went to his office with a heavy heart and it was because of Edith Burns. When he walked into that waiting room, there sat Edith with her big black Bible in her lap earnestly talking to a young mother sitting beside her.

Edith Burns had a habit of introducing herself in this way: "Hello, my name is Edith Burns. Do you believe in Easter?" Then she would explain the meaning of Easter, and many times people would be saved.

Dr. Phillips walked into that office and there he saw the head nurse, Beverly. Beverly had first met Edith when she was taking her blood pressure. Edith began by saying, "My name is Edith Burns. Do you believe in Easter?"

Beverly said, "Why yes I do." Edith said, "Well, what do you believe about Easter?" Beverly said, "Well, it's all about egg hunts, going to church, and dressing up." Edith kept pressing her about the real meaning of Easter, and finally led her to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Dr. Phillips said, "Beverly, don't call Edith into the office quite yet. I believe there is another delivery taking place in the waiting room.

After being called back in the doctor's office, Edith sat down and when she took a look at the doctor she said, "Dr. Will, why are you so sad? Are you reading your Bible? Are you praying?"

Dr. Phillips said gently, "Edith, I'm the doctor and you're the patient."

With a heavy heart he said, "Your lab report came back and it says you have cancer, and Edith, you're not going to live very long."

Edith said, "Why Will Phillips, shame on you. Why are you so sad? Do you think God makes mistakes? You have just told me I'm going to see my precious Lord Jesus, my husband, and my friends. You have just told me that I am going to celebrate Easter forever, and here you are having difficulty giving me my ticket!"

Dr. Phillips thought to himself, "What a magnificent woman this Edith Burns is!"

Edith continued coming to Dr. Phillips. Christmas came and the office was closed through January 3rd. On the day the office opened, Edith did not show up. Later that afternoon, Edith called Dr. Phillips and said she would have to be moving her story to the hospital and said, "Will, I'm very near home, so would you make sure that they put women in here next to me in my room who need to know about Easter."

Well, they did just that and women began to come in and share that room with Edith. Many women were saved. Everybody on that floor from staff to patients were so excited about Edith, that they started calling her Edith Easter; that is everyone except Phyllis Cross, the head nurse.

Phyllis made it plain that she wanted nothing to do with Edith because she was a "religious nut". She had been a nurse in an army hospital. She had seen it all and heard it all. She was the original G.I. Jane. She had been married three times, she was hard, cold, and did everything by the book.

One morning the two nurses who were to attend to Edith were sick. Edith had the flu and Phyllis Cross had to go in and give her a shot. When she walked in, Edith had a big smile on her face and said, "Phyllis, God loves you and I love you, and I have been praying for you."

Phyllis Cross said, "Well, you can quit praying for me, it won't work. I'm not interested." Edith said, "Well, I will pray and I have asked God not to let me go home until you come into the family."

Phyllis Cross said, "Then you will never die because that will never happen," and curtly walked out of the room.

Every day Phyllis Cross would walk into the room and Edith would say, "God loves you Phyllis and I love you, and I'm praying for you." One day Phyllis Cross said she was literally drawn to Edith's room like a magnet would draw iron. She sat down on the bed and Edith said, "I'm so glad you have come, because God told me that today is your special day."

Phyllis Cross said, "Edith, you have asked everybody here the question, 'Do you believe in Easter?' but you have never asked me." Edith said, "Phyllis, I wanted to many times, but God told me to wait until you asked, and now that you have asked..."

Edith Burns took her Bible and shared with Phyllis Cross the Easter Story of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Edith said, "Phyllis, do you believe in Easter? Do you believe that Jesus Christ is alive and that He wants to live in your heart?" Phyllis Cross said, "Oh I want to believe that with all of my heart, and I do want Jesus in my life." Right there, Phyllis Cross prayed and invited Jesus Christ into her heart. For the first time Phyllis Cross did not walk out of a hospital room, she was carried out on the wings of angels.

Two days later, Phyllis Cross came in and Edith said, "Do you know what day it is?" Phyllis Cross said, "Why Edith, it's Good Friday." Edith said, "Oh, no, for you every day is Easter. Happy Easter Phyllis!"

Two days later, on Easter Sunday, Phyllis Cross came into work, did some of her duties and then went down to the flower shop and got some Easter lilies because she wanted to go up to see Edith and give her some Easter lilies and wish her a Happy Easter. When she walked into Edith's room, Edith was in bed. That big black Bible was on her lap. Her hands were in that Bible. There was a sweet smile on her face.

When Phyllis Cross went to pick up Edith's hand, she realized Edith was dead.

Her left hand was on John 14: "In my Father's house are many mansions. I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also." Her right hand was on Revelation 21:4, " And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying; and there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Phyllis Cross took one look at that dead body, and then lifted her face toward heaven, and with tears streaming down here cheeks, said, "Happy Easter, Edith - Happy Easter!"

Phyllis Cross left Edith's body, walked out of the room, and over to a table where two student nurses were sitting. She said, "My name is Phyllis Cross. Do you believe in Easter?"

What a very cool website.... so I tested my blog there and found out it has *some* worth... it was fun.

My blog is worth $564.54.

I think that everyone should go and see what your blog is worth... if nothing else, it was just a few minutes of entertainment for this tired old webmaster who just turned sixty. :-)

So I say thanks to Dane Carlson for setting it up on his site... and he has a very interesting blog to learn from, as he's stated he's "entrepreneur to the core" so that resonates with me. I am, too!

Do you Squidoo? If not, why not?

I've noticed that there are already over 2 million Google entries for the name 'squidoo' in a search I did this morning. Funny that I had only discovered this excellent tool just a few days ago, and decided I'd give it a whirl. It's too early to tell if it will do what I hope (create more traffic, earn a few dollars, and promote my other web businesses effectively)... but I'll keep you posted!

My very first Squidoo Lens is here: How To Learn HTML Free & Where To Get The BEST Free WYSIWYG Editor Ever and I would welcome your feedback as to if it was useful to you, if you have ideas how I could improve it, etc.

The idea is to create what Seth Godin (the creator of Squidoo) calls "lenses" and they are basically snippets or short descriptions of something you know and love, your hobby, your passion, anything that want to share, whether it's a how-to, a piece of must-have information that will help others, a tutorial or instructional article, a story... and the only limit right now is 2,500 characters. Brevity is the key. And the links resource as well as creating your Lensmaster profile are where you gain the benefit of the search engines finding you, as well as more traffic from those who find your resource list useful to them.

I hope that at least you will go take a look. I got pretty fascinated with the process, and wanted to promote Seth's new "baby" so I created some FREE Squidoo Graphics & Banners that you can download and use to help yourself in any way to promote your own Squidoo Lenses. I had fun creating them and hope you'll benefit in some way by using them. I'm put one at the top of this post so you can see what a fun project it was. There are several more for you at the site.

My biggest dream is that everyone who wants to succeed online, will be able to have the chance to do so and share in the massive abundance that abides on this planet. We just have to work together, share and care about one another instead of hoarding and it will work. So, I wrote my first lens about affordable ways to create your site and my links resources also now have over a hundred free products you can add to your new site. The Season Of Giving - It's All Year Around!

Welcome again... it's long been a tradition to give during holidays, especially Christmas - and ToysForTots is one place to give needy children a Christmas gift they wouldn't have otherwise had. It's also a time to help children anywhere in the world.

I live in USA, but I've met a wonderful Anglican priest in Australia (Father Dave) with whom I've formed a lasting friendship. He's one amazing man... deserving of much praise for what he does to help disadvantaged youths and he keeps a lot of kids off the streets and off of drugs.

Anyway, tithing is a year-round thing - a form of giving back to the Universe, God, your Higher Power, whatever you want to call it. Ten percent of your income isn't that big of a deal until you consider the prosperity angle. Money is energy, you have to give it to get it.

Anyway, I had gotten behind in my tithing... and so I decided to send a larger than usual sum to Father Dave to help the kids. The response was amazing to me, and I'm betting it will touch your heart as much as it touched my own... here's what Father Dave replied when he got the donation of tithe money from me:

Goodness me, Donna! You do have a sense of timing! Let me tell you a quick story: We have a young man who joined us here this time last year - Shayne his name is. He's a lovely boy in his early 20's who travelled here from Perth because he believed that God wanted him to come and work with us!

Well, after working here as a volunteer all year, he's wanting to go into full-time training in 2006 and has been accepted. Problem is that he doesn't qualify for any govt. assistance as a student because he's still not a citizen of the country. He's a Canadian-born Singaporean, who has spent most of his life in this country, but the Singaporean army has proven very reluctant to let go of him, as he was part of a crack unit there.

It has taken him months of work and red tape to get them to release him. Now they've said that they will, but they require some official fingerprints to be done! No problem we thought. Shayne took himself down to the police station and asked to be finger-printed. No problem, they said, "that will cost you $170, paid in advance".

Shayne doesn't have anywhere near $170, which means that he can't get the fingerprints, which means that he can't get the release, which means that he can't get student assistance, which means that he can't study full time,which means that not just him, but also a lot of kids, are ultimately going to lose out!

Ange and I said we'd pay it for him, but he doesn't want this, as he knows we're on a half-stipend at the moment and doesn't want to make life more difficult. So who does God send to our aid? .......... Donna! I'll be letting him know tomorrow that my good mate Donna has just paid for what he needs, to allow him to go to college next year!

I know probably this all sounds very convoluted, but, believe me, it's gonna make a big difference in the life of one guy, who in turn will undoubtedly make a big difference in the lives of a lot of young people. OK. That's a very round-about way of saying "THANK YOU" :-)

Coolest Guy In The Universe ?

Hey, how about the COOLEST GAL In The Universe? I think we ladies need to stand up and be counted! Everyone has something about them that makes them unique, special, wonderful, bright and worthy of a grandiose title.

I think I'm going to go for Coolest Granny In The Cosmos... how about that one? ha ha.... well, at least my grandchildren think so.

I know several deserving women who could be Coolest Gal In The Universe... one is my friend Jodi at Garden Simply. She is a mother, a university student, a webmaster, a forum moderator and still has time to say "Hello, how's your day?" She is just amazing (and a beautiful lady, too!)

How about the female internet marketers who have made a HUGE success for themselves? I'm sure I'd leave one out, so I won't even try to list them all here.

For people in general.... the exceptional men on the planet, I have a few that would rate for "Coolest Guy In The Cosmos" IMHO, and they are John Reese (of Traffic Secrets fame and a wonderful human being) and Jimmy D Brown (a beautiful man with too many amazing sites to mention!! but do take a look at his spiritual ezine) and my dear friend Ron Hutton (an article in itself just telling you what Ron's done for me!) Oh, there are others, but geez, I don't have time to list ALL of them.... these are just my top guys (besides my sweet friend Rob VanAndel in NL!! He's terrific, too!) I KNOW there are many, many more..... these are just the ones that popped into my head immediately. :-)

So, ladies? How are we going to accomplish this task? I'm up for commentary on it... but I had to block it in this blog because of persistent stinking spam posts (GRRR!) .... however, I'll make an exception for this one, as I'd love to hear what the amazing women in the universe have to say about having our own "Google Days"!

Just for those of you interested in helping the victims of Katrina (and now Rita) hurricanes, there is something you can do if you don't have any extra money to donate. It is just a gesture of love and kindness from your heart to someone who is in a very bad situation.

Here's the suggestion from my friend jl scott of i-Cop: Write a nice letter... it may be the only mail some of those poor folks get to help brighten their day and give them hope. The postmaster in Houston, Tx has agreed to distribute them at the Astrodome. A very compassionate gesture indeed......

Please do not send packages. The address listed below is for cards, letters, and small things that would fit in an envelope no larger than 9 x 12. Perhaps a cheery card, or a letter about you and your family to let them know someone does care....

Address your letter or card to "Dear Family." You may never know who got your letter, and yet that letter or card may mean the world to the person who received it.

Help Me Stop Rita by Dr. Joe Vitale

As I type these words, people in Houston are scrambling to leave the city. The Mayor has urged many to evacuate. The next hurricane, Rita, is bigger and badder than Katrina, and it's headed this way.

Yes, our area is in the path of the hurricane, too. With luck, by the time it hits mainland Texas, it will have dropped from a category 5 to a category 1 hurricane. We're stocking up on supplies, like everyone else.

While the world is still reeling from the effects of Katrina, we're now bracing for something that could be just as bad, or worse. As I listen to the news, and watch people, the key word that everyone says or seems to breathe is "victim."

We're victims of storms. We're victims of chance. We're victims of a poorly run government. We're victims of gas prices, gas shortages, inflation, recession, taxes, wars, and now -- the worst of all -- Mother Nature. I'm going to say something unusual. It may upset some people. I'm hoping it will inspire you. Here goes:

You have more power than you think.

While you may not want to stand in the path of Rita, you don't have to cower under the bed. As odd as it may sound, I believe that if enough of us think positive, we can create a counter storm of sorts. We can protect ourselves and our loved ones with our thoughts. I've described and proved this with the research in the back of my book, "The Attractor Factor."

Nineteen studies *proved* that when a large group of people hold positive intentions, those intentions radiate out and become reality. No, I'm not saying ignore the storm warnings. I'm saying don't get caught up in the fear that the warnings often trigger. Look. If you think the storm will get you, then it's already gotten you.

You're living in fear. Your life is dark, gloomy and in a cage. The media is flawless at whipping us into fear. So I suggest ignoring the media. It's not information, it's propaganda. It gets large groups of people to think negative, which of course then becomes reality.

Why can't we do the opposite?

Why can't we get large groups of people to think positive?

At this very moment, as I type this and you read this, all is well.

Isn't it?

Aren't you ok?

Aren't you feeling fine right now?

Yes, be sure to have batteries and water and supplies. But also check the storehouse in your mind. Are you living in fear, or living in trust? Are you focused on the negative, or are you doing something to create a positive?

We are all, always, at choice.

My plea is that the readers of my ezine -- you -- will stop, breathe, and focus; pray, or in some positive way send out an energy that will help dissolve the fear in and around us. I'm asking you to do this on Saturday, the day hurricane Rita is scheduled to visit Texas. As I was finishing this article, UPS delivered two books to me. Both are timely and worth mentioning.

"Unconditional Bliss" says you can find happiness in the face of hardship. I think this is relevant. While the media is making us shake in our boots, we can choose to take care of ourselves and others *while* remaining happy.

Happiness is a choice.

The other book looks just as fascinating. It's "Megatrends 2010" by Pat Aburdene. To my surprise (and delight), the book declares that the future will be more focused on spirit. Well, let's create the future right now. Let's focus on spirit. What I'm asking you to do is be happy, right now.

Smile. Send that loving energy out, in the direction of Texas and Louisiana. Intend for all to be well, for, in reality, all is well. In fact, pretend you are the eye of the hurricane. That's the center where all is at peace. *Be* that peace and send that peace from the eye to the hurricane itself, imagining it dropping in intensity.

We can make a difference.

It begins with you.

Totally Opposite Reactions To Katrina...

Hi everyone,

I just finished reading a surprising email from Armand Morin, who was lambasting the selfish "scumbags" as he called them who are already sending out emails trying to sell more of their own products and grab more opt-ins in the thin disguise of "helping the disaster victims from Katrina" and so I wrote him a congratulatory email for taking a stand against them.

On a feeling level, I had to agree with him. Anyone who would try to take advantage of such a horrific tragedy with such massive losses of life and property are beyond deplorable. One self-centered marketer offered to donate 5% of his proceeds. Woo-Hoo, how 'generous'. (NOT!!!!!) I wouldn't buy from him even if it was something I'd wanted all my life. If I could remember who it was, I'd publish his asinine letter here, but I got so upset when I read it that I hit delete immediately. (I also have to pity people who act like this... )

Then, just a few minutes later, I got a totally opposite & very refreshing email from Neil Shearing in the U.K. who shows that he cares about the victims and PROVES it by donating his brand new Keyword Spider software and just asks that you donate to the Red Cross if you want to - whatever value you might place on the software. I hope and pray that everyone will go and donate to the Red Cross and/or FEMA to help those folks get back on their feet. Thousands of people are now homeless, hundreds are dead, countless are injured, scared, hungry, exhausted.... and yet there are thoughtless, greedy, insensitive people trying to take advantage of them even as I write this.

Instead of anger and righteous indignation, though, the best thing we can offer besides a few dollars is our prayers, healing thoughts, peace and serenity thoughts and love.... and that's exactly what I'm in the process of doing. I truly hope you will join me.

Wow - what a job when you don't understand everything about PHPmyAdmin, mySQL databases, css and lots more that I'm trying super hard to learn. Now I'm gonna find out if the RSS feed works or not. Here goes nothin!

Oh, the site I'm working on? It's called ArticleNet Directory and I spent the greater part of the day yesterday getting it reformatted to suit me, rather than the original css designer. What a job (when you don't completely know how to do all that stuff... but I'm learning fast!).

A Quick Lesson In How NOT To Do A JV Promo...

This entry is definitely about how NOT To Market A JV Promo/Giveaway by someone who definitely knows... from the sheer embarrassment of the experience I have had in the last twenty-four hours. I sure hope that some of you can relate and will help me out after you read what I did.

It might also help you to understand if you know that this is the first one of these that I have ever tried to do... so it was not as easy as it is for someone who does all of these type of promos and has for years.

I'll try to make it a "short story" instead of a diatribe.. but basically, I joined a JV promotion to help give away thousands of dol'lars worth of sof'tware & niche goodies. So, I spent about three or four hours setting everything up... and sent out an email to my entire ezine list. I was so proud of myself.

That ended up being a very short time.

Shortly after I sent it out, I found out I had sent out the wrong URL to a list of over two thousand folks - yep, this url went straight to the competitor's site. Oh dear, I thought, so that meant I had to send out a second email (now bear in mind these folks on my InspiraSeed Ezine list are not used to getting much mail from me, as I promised them no over-full inboxes from the git-go)... in the same 24-hour period with the "right li'nk" but I cloaked it with my affiliate diamond soft'ware first. (you know how all the gurus tell you to cloak your urls so people don't cut them off, and this one would have been easy to chop down - just removing the /go/affnumber and I figured then I would be toast.)

Well, that caused the darn thing to not register my click-throughs in their tracking logs, so they put my whole JV promotional account on hold until I get at least ten referrals to go sign up for the giveaway. (Even though I'd obviously had signups, because my autoresponder had over fifty new names in it overnight!)

So, that's why I need your help. I just can't bear to send out a *third* email to my poor ezine list... it would negate all I've said for three years in a heartbeat. I would feel badly about asking for your help, but you will really be the biggest beneficiary of this endeavor in the end. (For one, you'll be helping a fellow marketer who is obviously floundering..)

Plus there are lots of things you can use for enticements to get your ezine some more subs - some products that aren't all over the net free already. It's a whale of a good one, and if I didn't already have most of it, I would have gotten it, myself.

Since I posted my blog yesterday, I've discovered even more Google Site Map FREE Tools you can check out and see which one is best for your own needs and skill levels:

The sitemap_gen.py script analyzes your web server and generates one or more Sitemap files. These files are XML listings of content you make available on your web server. The files can then be directly submitted to Google. This one involves installing a script.

Personally, I chose to opt for the easier downloadable or the online ones as mentioned below and the one I used in my previous post.

Arne Brachhold's software is Google Sitemap Generator for Word Press is one that works with your WordPress blogs.

This particular Google Site Map Generator is online and has a ton of extra features & goodies, including the ability to create EITHER or BOTH an XML sitemap or an HTML sitemap. Very cool indeed. It is limited to 500 urls however, so if you have a monster of a site, it might not be of value for your purposes. (I don't have that 'problem', yet, so I thought it was fabulous! Sitemaps are a PIA to create by hand, [IMHO] and this at least scours all your urls so you don't miss one and formats them into links, and then you can customize & add your content blurb about each one in a simple html editor.)

You can currently download the GSiteCrawler for free :). Johannes says "Play with it, let us know what we can do to make it work better for you". The program requires Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

This one is online, too, uses Java Google Sitemap Generator now supports up to 50,000 pages! Pretty slick.

I so much appreciate wonderful programmers who do things like this to help the internet populace. They certainly don't have to spend the long hours doing such gracious acts of kindness and generosity. My hat goes off to each and every one of them!

The latest SEO "buzz" all over the internet is to buy someone's rather expensive software to create those XML Google Sitemaps. Why would you want to part with your hard-earned money when these generous young folks have provided a FREE way to do exactly that?

SitemapsPal - Create Google Sitemaps Online [SideBar: And so I went there, followed the simple instructions, saved the file as directed, FTP'd it to my site, checked the URL, went to Google Sitemaps submission page, and submitted my new XML sitemap. I did it ALL in under six minutes. It was amazing to me... especially after researching XML last night and getting *very* confused thinking I would have to spend hours learning how to do it to save the money on that for-pay software.]

Anyway, while posting his link in the google sitemaps forum, I found a link to a downloadable FREE Google Sitemaps Software. There are some really kindhearted folks out in cyberspace... people that don't have to dip in your wallet every time something new shows up. Did anyone see the Oprah Show about Atrocities Against Children?

First, if you are faint-hearted or opposed to learning about the abject and frightening realities of the world we live in, you'd better turn away now.

I have also been guilty of being one of those "ostrich-people" too, so I do understand. If you don't watch the news or listen to the radio, you can manufacture your own little insular island of denial and try to live happily ever after like a fairy tale... but every now and then, Spirit leads you to something that breaks the spell and opens your eyes. Oprah did that June 15th.

On that day, Oprah's show exposed one of the most horrific things I've seen in a long, long time! There was a lovely young African girl who was a guest on the show and her story literally made me cry (and it makes me mad at the hideous atrocities that exist on this planet!) because of the torturing of children all over the world, and even in our own country. The young girl told how children are forced to fight and kill and NOT show emotion about it or they are killed. This is just part of Grace's story:

There are an estimated 300,000 child soldiers today worldwide, and Grace used to be one of them. When she was 15 years old, she was kidnapped by the Lord's Resistance Army, a rebel group fighting the Ugandan government. Forced to walk barefoot from Uganda to Sudan, she was then given a gun and trained to be a soldier. "I was forced to kill 12-year-old boys, two of them who tried to escape from the army," she remembers sadly. In addition, Grace was made to have sex with different men.

After enduring constant abuse, Grace's body finally gave out. After she fainted from lack of water, her commanders took her for dead and buried her alive. Barely living, she woke at night, but had no choice to rejoin her captors. "I was no longer myself," she recalls. "I was just a walking skeleton with rotting feet, because of the suffering I passed through."

Months later, after a vicious battle, Grace was able to escape. "It's hard to forget and relax because I am often reminded, and my friends are still there," she says. "Every day is like a struggle in my life. I feel like I was cheated because I lost part of myself and my innocence."

You'd think that Grace would want to run as far and as fast as she could to be nowhere near that horrible part of her life and I'm sure indelibly ingrained in her memory, but no, here's what Grace is bravely doing today:

Today, Grace lives in Uganda and is pursuing a career in journalism. "I want to expose the evil of what people are doing to the children and women, because women and children are the ones suffering," she explains. "The wars that are taking place in this world, especially [in Uganda], are not against the people who are supposed to be fought against. It's against the innocent people. I want to expose that and help the disadvantaged. I've seen what life is, so I want to work on helping people."

Grace's heart rending story was enough to bring tears and outrage but this next part makes me say to myself... my God... what is this world coming to? We must be nearing the end.

The raping of BABIES?? Rape itself is so horrible that nobody should have to endure it ever, but innocent babies? Read on...

Claudia Ford, an American mother of three, was living in South Africa at the time of a particularly vicious baby raping. A five-month-old baby staying in a prostitution hotel was gang raped and left for dead before rescuers brought her to the hospital. The baby was so badly hurt, the doctors were crying during much of the surgery, but managed to save her.

When Claudia went to visit the abandoned baby in the hospital, she was so moved, she couldn't walk away from the little girl. She took the baby home and named her Vianna.

"She didn't sleep well, she was traumatized," Claudia says. "From the minute I got her, I kept telling her, 'You're okay, you're safe, it's over, you're loved.' It took awhile before she felt relaxed and could actually sleep deeply."

After months of treatment, the doctors gave Claudia the news she'd been waiting for—baby Vianna was not infected with HIV.

We all bury our heads in the sand in this country, and think that horrible stuff doesn't happen like that "around here" but it does. There was even more... such as CHILD SLAVERY that happens right here in this country.

For his documentary Easy Prey: Inside The Child Sex Trade, filmmaker Liviu Tipurita went undercover to expose the sick world of child prostitution. His filmmaking took him to Romania, a poor country where nearly half of Romanians live on less than $4 a day. In Bucharest, Liviu documented a group of street children who survive by begging and prostituting themselves. Many cope with their pain by sniffing solvents, which leads to addiction and serious health risks.

Liviu says that many sex traffickers prey upon desperate and hungry children, promising legitimate jobs in other countries. When the children arrive, the jobs are nowhere to be found, and they have little choice but to prostitute themselves. Increasingly, the men who prey on these children are wealthy Westerners. I don't know about you, but this whole thing is just so upsetting it's unfathomable. There are so many wealthy people in the world... and instead of spending your money on the latest BMW or living in a mansion big enough to be remade into an orphanage, why not spend some of that cash helping the children?

Surely there is a way.... for if I've learned one thing in my long life, it's that if you have a strong enough will to achieve something in your life, you CAN. But... it takes persistence, and in this case it would take millions of dollars to chase down the adult monsters who perpetrate these deeds of horror.

So, I wonder what everyone who reads this far will say? What do you FEEL? What do you think could be done to help these atrocities to be stopped? I wish I knew. I just know it broke my heart to watch that show and to feel so helpless.

This blog is going to be a place to speak my mind about whatever concerns me most intensely on that day... some days it will seem pointless and other days very focused, which is similar to the neuronal activity in my overloaded mind. It's rough being your own webmaster, site designer, graphic artist, SEO manager, marketing department, article writer, ezine publisher, web host, domain registrar, software salesman, infopreneur, entrepreneur and that's just the online jobs. However, I bet there are thousands of us, and so thankfully, I'm not alone, and there is some consolation in that.

Do you ever feel torn apart between managing your projects for the day (or letting - should I say watching helplessly - as they pile up and loom larger than life in your face) and you can't seem to prioritize them in any workable manner? This happens every single day to me. I have deduced that having over thirty separate email accounts to keep track of is part of the problem. But time management is difficult when you are doing the job of five people on fifty websites (and drowning in the overload).

I'm all "ears" for any viable suggestions here. My friend Ron Hutton did have a wonderful one... he says check your email first thing - answer the urgent things then SHUT IT DOWN. Don't even look at it for at least four hours, then you can focus intently on whatever project you are doing at the time without the interruptions of that familiar email computer tone or voice that is akin to the ringing of a phone... 'making' you stop what you are doing to respond to it. (Pavlov's dog anyone?)

I'm doing better since I bought Pat O'Bryan's Listen And Grow Rich CD that uses binaural beats to "rewire" the brain and program it for success (and I equate that with an income I could really brag about - (which I presently don't have manifested yet... but I will!). I strongly believe in exciting technology like this... and in the power of the human brain.

My problem is the old "poverty mindset" that was ingrained by a grandmother and mother who didn't have much beyond a little savings account in the bank and maybe some US bonds. We're not talking silver spoon birth here. My first job paid 75cents/hour when I was 17 years old, so that tells you I'm not a kid! (well, I am at heart)

I bought my first computer as a gift to myself when I was 48 and graduated from nursing college. It was an IBM 486-DX-266 with a "gigantic" 512K hard drive and 4MB RAM.... a 15" monitor, a Star SJ-144 printer and I took it all out of the box (the only windows I'd ever heard of at that time were the kind you wash or look through) and put it together and taught myself how to use it. The whole setup at that time cost me two thousand dollars and it took me two years to pay it off. :-)

You'll probably laugh when I tell you that I was actually scared of the internet and didn't even get online for over six months after I bought the computer. I used it for games and rudimentary word processing. Once I discovered it though, there's been no stopping me from learning everything I can as fast as I can.

After 11 years of dialup - I finally got a job with the people who manage my AffordaSoft SuperSite and I had to get broadband in order to mass-FTP to over 150 sites simultaneously (and boy-oh-boy do I love high-speed internet... it's wonderful!!)

Well, I don't want to bore anyone to death, and besides, my RSI is acting up again, so I hope that someone has enjoyed reading this new blog and will look forward to more entries as I find time and energy to post.
